Naive question: Could manipulation of the methylation on DNA cause a generation of a stem cell. Is a stem cell just one that has yet to undergo any methylation (expressing all genes)?

Where does *RNA* fit in?? Do the methylated spots on the DNA affect the transcription process into RNA?

My daughter has had 7 day fevers since she was 2 months old. When she was two months old, her fever was up to 105.0 And lasted for 7 days long. I knew instinctively something was going on with my two month old baby. at the very first episode, I went through with her. Then throughout these next five years seven day fevers reoccurred approximately every 45 days when she was between infancy and four years old. Last year in 2023 she had a total of four episodes, not including regular virus sickness as well. My daughter has had very high levels of inflammation in her stool on two separate occasions and ultrasound has also shown high levels of inflammation. Watching my child suffer for the past five years as we’re going on six soon has been extremely hard and very scary, especially after being dismissed by doctors often and told that my child has a virus every single time and to go home and treat the symptoms. She also has shown levels of elevated liver enzymes and I question if that is due to the fever reducer medication’s, I would give. I have not had much support from the medical system, but finally there are doctors looking deeper into it and doing further testing. My daughter also suffers with severe stomach pain during the flare’s and respiratory issues along with Gi symptoms. I hope I can finally get answers for my child soon. When my child’s fevers continue to day 4, That always confirms we’re dealing with another flair. My child also wears glasses due to vision issue and sometimes goes cross eyed briefly during a fever flair. I feel like her vision issue is connected to her flairs. Another thing that sticks out to me during my child’s flairs in that her feet feel extremely HOT to touch.
